Kindred and CHN wished to develop a second inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the Greenwood market after a successful project in north Indianapolis. The project is a conversion of an existing long-term acute care hospital, which PMB purchased into an inpatient rehabilitation facility. LATCHs have become stressed under new reimbursement rules making the more financially attractive conversion a feasible addition to the Kindred/CHN greater Indianapolis presence.
