PMB partnered with Cottage Health in a program management capacity to deliver its new ambulatory project on the campus of Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital near Santa Barbara, CA.  The land use approval process was extremely challenging and resulted in eleven design review board hearings before receiving approval.  Additionally, the building was located twenty feet from an existing outpatient facility scheduled for demolition after the new building was completed.  PMB navigated successfully through many operational challenges including building on an operational campus, building adjacent to an operational medical office building and coordinating the tenant transition from the old building to the new building.  Ultimately, the process resulted in a regenerated brand for Goleta Valley with the addition of the new 52,000 SF ambulatory project aligning with its new inpatient hospital.
