1100 Van Ness Grand Opening Celebration
Sutter Health and PMB recently celebrated the grand opening of 1100 Van Ness, the newest ambulatory care center in downtown San Francisco, adjacent to Sutter’s new CPMC Van Ness Campus hospital. The building, owned and developed by PMB, is a 10-story, 250,000 SF outpatient facility with a six-level, 383-space subterranean parking garage and a 125-foot subterranean tunnel that connects the hospital to the MOB. The LEED Gold building also features ground floor retail and three living roof gardens.
Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation occupies 5 floors within the building and recently opened their doors to the public on June 3rd. More than 120 specialty physicians and clinicians from the Sutter Health network will operate out of the new building. Private physicians will occupy the remaining floors.
The celebration included tours of the new building, building artwork presentations by the artists, virtual reality demonstrations for the limited space remaining and live music. Acknowledgements were provided by Dr. Liz Vilardo, CEO of Sutter Bay Medical Foundation, Dr. Bob Osorio, Executive Chair of the Board of Sutter West Bay Medical Group, Mark Toothacre, President and Partner of PMB, Bob Mitsch, VP of Facilities and Property Services at Sutter Health and Jenifer Turnbull, VP of Facilities and Development, Bay Area, also at Sutter Health. It was a remarkable evening capping off an irreplaceable project which will provide the most advanced care to the residents of San Francisco and beyond.
Special thanks to all our partners who were part of bringing this phenomenal project to fruition, including, Sutter Health, Ventas REIT, Wells Fargo, Boulder Associates, Pankow Builders and Bayside Realty Partners.
