St. Jude Heritage Medical Group was expanding rapidly through the acquisition of private physicians into the foundation model medical group and needed to enhance its brand and healthcare offering to the community.  The medical group had occupied a nearby facility for over 30 years which was functionally obsolete and did not provide the desired patient experience that was synonymous with St. Jude Heritage Medical Group.  Using Lean design and operational practices, PMB led the development of an 88,000 SF comprehensive outpatient center, which included a physician equity joint-venture.  PMB overcame significant public opposition, including an organized anonymous obstructionist group spearheaded by a competitive hospital, by partnering with the City and local community in a collaborative manner to provide much-needed healthcare services to the community.
